Guidelines

Manners

We would rather stay readable than become another shouting room.

  1. 1

    Write the problem first

A feature name is not an idea. Say what frays, who feels it, and when.

  2. 2

    One seed, one request

If you have three wishes, plant three ideas.

  3. 3

Be a fan, not a prosecutor

Critique products. Do not pile onto people.

  4. 4

    Leave room to be wrong

Propose a shape, not a spec Apple must obey.

  5. 5

    Tend more than you shout

A useful note is worth more than a tenth plant. Notes are part of how the apple is picked.

  6. 6

    File official feedback yourself

The weekly letter is one email. Your Feedback Assistant report is still the official door.
