NextOrchard

Privacy & terms

A little clarity about your data.

What NextOrchard stores, what people can see, and how to manage your account. Updated August 31, 2026.

Your account

Sign in with Apple supplies an account identifier and may supply a name and email address. NextOrchard stores a pseudonymous account identifier, your public name, session status, and encrypted Apple refresh tokens used to revoke access when you delete your account. We do not store your Apple password or retain the email address from Apple in the application database.

What is public

Ideas, comments, the public name attached to them, dates, and support counts are public. Anyone can read or share them. Individual support-account identifiers, reports, and Apple credentials are not published. Do not post private information about yourself or anyone else.

What stays on your device

An essential session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. Your unfinished idea draft and followed-profile preferences are stored in this browser. There is no advertising or analytics SDK in the application. Your browser and network still send ordinary request information to our hosting providers.

Hosting and security

The service runs on Railway, with domain traffic handled through Cloudflare and authentication handled by Apple. These providers process requests under their own policies and may retain operational logs. The application stores community and account data in a database on its hosting volume. Access to reports and moderation actions is restricted to designated moderators.

Retention and deletion

Account data and contributions remain while your account is active, unless removed through moderation or deletion. Use Your account to delete your account-linked ideas, comments, support, and reports and revoke stored Apple connections. A minimal account marker remains to reject old sessions. Older contributions without recorded ownership need a verified support request. Public copies, search caches, provider logs, the pre-migration archive, and backups are separate from live account data; backup expiry and legacy-data removal must be handled by the operator.

Community terms

You keep ownership of what you post and allow NextOrchard to display and share it as part of the service. Post only material you have permission to share. No spam, harassment, hateful content, threats, or disclosure of private information. Use Report on an idea or comment to request moderator review. Moderators may remove content and block abusive accounts. Weekly letters are previews; delivery and responses are not promised.

Contact

Public contact details are being finalized before launch. Signed-in members can report content from any idea or comment.
