The problem
Universal Clipboard is magic until you need the thing from two copies ago. Third-party clipboard managers fill the gap, and they ask for a lot of trust. This is one of those features Apple could do more privately than anyone else.
The proposal
Offer an on-device clipboard history with a visible retention window, optional iCloud sync using the same protections as passwords, and a one-tap clear. Let people exclude passwords and one-time codes automatically. A privacy nutrition label on the feature itself would set the tone.
