Notes with doors between them
Bidirectional links for the app where thinking already lives.
NextOrchard starter idea · August 7, 2026
The problem
Notes is the default thinking space for millions of people. Wiki-style links exist in spirit through folders and tags, but the graph never quite appears. People leave for third-party tools when their notes start to refer to each other.
The proposal
Add first-class bidirectional links, a backlinks panel, and an optional graph that stays as calm as the rest of Notes. Keep Markdown import honest. This should feel like Notes growing up, not like a new app.
Who it helps
Students, writers, and the quietly obsessive organizers of everyday life.
