Continuity Camera is delightful in the apps that thought of it. Everywhere else, people still hunt for a checkbox. The system already knows how to route audio. Video should feel the same.
The proposal
A system camera picker in Control Center and in the standard capture UI, including Desk View. Apps opt out only when they must. The iPhone is a stunning webcam. It should not be a scavenger hunt.
Who it helps
Remote workers, teachers, and anyone who has tilted a laptop lid for light.
