iPad windowing has come a long way and still loses the plot after a restart, a display change, or a jump from slide over. People who want a computer feel it most.
The proposal
Persist Stage Manager sets per app pair and per display. Offer a simple “this is my writing stage” snapshot. Match the Mac desk idea where it is honest to do so, without pretending iPad is a laptop.
Who it helps
Writers, illustrators, and students who already treat iPad as a desk.
