People albums that work on a plane
The photos I care about most should not need a radio.

The problem
People and Pets albums are some of the most human software Apple makes. They still feel networked. On a flight, in a basement, or in another country, the faces you came to see can arrive as placeholders.
The proposal
Let Photos pin selected people and years for full offline use, including faces already computed on-device. Be honest about what is local versus iCloud. A simple “keep this person with me” control would be enough.
Who it helps
Families, travelers, and anyone who opens Photos to feel something, not to manage storage.
